A keyword is not the customer intent.
Two queries with similar volume can have completely different commercial value. Evaluate the problem, urgency, buyer type and stage rather than relying only on volume and difficulty.
A useful map starts from the customer decision journey and then maps search demand into each stage.
Separate discovery, evaluation and action.
At discovery, the user needs to understand the problem. At evaluation, they need comparison frameworks, proof and risk information. At action, they need the offer, process and confidence to move forward.
Content should change with the decision need—not only the keyword.
Measure qualified progression.
High traffic does not automatically mean high commercial intent. Track CTA progression, qualified inquiries, assisted pipeline or downstream conversion where measurement is possible.
Avoid overclaiming attribution when the customer journey includes multiple touchpoints.
Organic should support both demand and sales.
Good content can create discovery before the buyer enters the pipeline and later become sales material during evaluation. That is where Marketing content creates value beyond the direct session.
